Swansea are keen to sign £6m-rated forward Miller Bolanos from Gremio, Sky Sports understands.

The clubs have entered into talks with the Premier League strugglers believed to be keen to wrap up a deal for the Ecuador striker.

Championship promotion hopefuls Brighton were heavily linked to the 25-year-old, alongside Gremio's Brazilian rivals Corinthians, over the winter.

Ecuador sit top of the South America qualifying table of 10 teams for the 2018 World Cup, the only side to have won all four of their opening matches.

Bolanos scored one of the two goals in the second qualifier win over Bolivia in October and is expected to feature against Paraguay in Quito on March 24 and away to Colombia next Tuesday, March 29.
