Hull City are very interested in Sion striker Moussa Konate, Sky sources understand.
A source has told Sky Sports News HQ that Hull have already had a bid rejected for the Senegal international.
Konate, 23, is a versatile player that can also be effective off the wing, with 16 international caps and seven goals.
He joined Sion from Krasnodar in 2014 and has scored 26 goals in Ligue 1 including 13 last season, and has been of interest to a number of Premier League clubs including Tottenham.
Hull have been desperate to add new faces to their squad after a summer in which they have signed just two youngsters, one of them on a free transfer, following promotion from the Championship.
The club opened the Premier League season with a 2-1 win over champions Leicester under Mike Phelan, who has taken caretaker charge of the team following Steve Bruce's resignation.
Konate began his senior professional career at Maccabi Tel Aviv before joining Krasnodar in 2012. He made 13 Serie A starts in a loan spell at Genoa in 2013-14.
