Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic has reassured fans he has no intention of leaving the club after seeing his young team knock Premier League Middlesbrough out of the EFL Cup.
Jokanovic's future looked in doubt when he expressed his frustration at the role played by director of statistical recruitment Craig Kline in blocking a move for Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira last week.
However, after Danish midfielder Lasse Vigen Christensen scored an extra-time goal to secure a 2-1 win at Craven Cottage, the 48-year-old emphasised his desire to stay.
The strength of Jokanovic's squad was emphasised as he made 10 changes for the tie but still saw his team recover from going 1-0 down to a goal from David Nugent after eight minutes.
A 54th-minute own goal from Julien De Sart provided Fulham's equaliser and they completed victory through Christensen's smart finish in the 113th minute.
"I have to be proud. We showed quality, we showed the right spirit, we showed character. I am proud of what they have done in the game and how they fought," said Jokanovic.
"I never had any plan to leave Fulham. If I complain about something it is because I want the best for my team, my team-mates, the supporters too and I was very clear what is my opinion about this situation and that is it.
"I am still in the same position and believe we need more people to be stronger in the future."
