Former Aston Villa winger Aleksandar Tonev was on hand to snatch a late win for Bulgaria as they beat Luxembourg 4-3 in their World Cup Qualifier.
Not long beforehand, Florian Bohnert had got the visitors level in what was thought to be one of the last actions of a topsy-turvy game, but Tonev had other ideas.
From the kick off, Bulgaria played the ball forward with defender Bozhidar Chorbadzhiyski heading into the path of his team-mate, who took one touch and got away from his marker before curling home into the top corner.
It was scenes of ecstasy for the hosts but despair for Luxembourg, who had come from behind to lead at one stage in the match-up.
Dimitar Rangelov gave Bulgaira the lead in the 16th minute before two quick-fire goals from Luxembourg saw them ahead thanks to a Aurelien Joachim double.
Marcelo Nascimento da Costa then got the hosts level before Ivelin Popov fire them ahead, with the Luxembourg equaliser and eventual winner coming in added time.
