Didier Drogba scores Montreal's only goal as they're thrashed 4-1 by Orlando City.

Didier Drogba's Montreal Impact were thrashed 4-1 by Orlando City on Wednesday night - but the Ivorian got on the scoresheet with a free-kick that fooled visiting goalkeeper Joe Bendik after just two minutes.

The former Chelsea striker, who scored 104 Premier League goals in 254 games, deceived Bendik with the 'knuckleball' technique, causing the ball to swerve viciously as it approached the goal.

Despite the free-kick getting Montreal off to the perfect start, Orlando hit back just two minutes later through Brek Shea, before Kaka added their second after 36 minutes at the Saputo Stadium.

After the break, Impact 'keeper Evan Bush saw red before Kaka slotted home a penalty for his second of the night, with Carlos Rivas wrapping up the win late on.

Bendik did exact his revenge on Drogba however, saving his spot-kick in the second half as Orlando wrapped up a resounding victory.
