Tottenham and Man City dominate Sky Sports Fantasy Football's team of the season so far

Fantasy

As we head into the international break, here's a look at the Premier League's best performing players so far according to Sky Sports Fantasy Football's stats.

Manchester City sit top of the Premier League after seven games with Raheem Sterling and the injured Kevin De Bruyne making the XI, but it is the side that ended their perfect start on Super Sunday which command the most places.

Tottenham players make up the majority of the backline, having recorded their fourth clean sheet of the season in the 2-0 win, while Heung-Min Son narrowly misses out, sitting just four points behind De Bruyne after assisting his side's second goal.

Here's a look at the line-up in full and their key stats...

Tom Heaton (£5.8m) - 31 points

Only Hugo Lloris, Petr Cech and Fraser Forster have kept more clean sheets than Burnley's No 1, but the 30-year-old edges them all out thanks to bonus save points in three games and a Sky Sports man-of-the-match award.

Kyle Walker (£9.5m) - 45 points

Four clean sheets, an assist and a man-of-the-match award sees Walker sit top of the pile when it comes to defenders as he continues to be effective both going forward and defensively for Spurs, who have conceded just three times this term.

Laurent Koscielny (£10.3m) - 45 points

Three clean sheets, two goals and one MOTM award sees Koscielny level with Walker, with his late winner at Burnley on Sunday keeping the Gunners just a point behind their north London rivals.

Toby Alderweireld (£10.5m) - 33 points

It appears to be worth splashing the cash at the back given Alderweireld and Koscielny are rated the most expensive defenders in Sky Sports Fantasy Football. Alderweireld has proved a revelation since arriving from Atletico, via a season at Southampton, also helping Spurs to record the joint-best defensive record last season.

Jan Vertonghen (£9.8m) - 29 points

Alderweireld's partnership with compatriot Vertonghen has been key to transforming Spurs' fortunes, with Mauricio Pochettino helping nurture the latter's undoubted potential following a less consistent start to life at White Hart Lane.

Michail Antonio (£8.9m) - 56 points

West Ham have endured a contrasting start to their London rivals, conceding more goals than any other Premier League side, but Antonio has kept the goals flowing at the other end, netting five times already this season, including four headers.

Kevin De Bruyne (£11.8m) - 53 points

While the Belgian attacking-midfielder attracted glowing praise for his early-season form, which has seen him rack up two goals and six assists, few anticipated just how much Manchester City would miss his services at White Hart Lane.

Etienne Capoue (£7.8m) - 57 points

If Watford's main problem was their over reliance on Odion Ighalo and Troy Deeney's goals then Walter Mazzarri seems to have found the solution from an unlikely source, with Capoue scoring as many goals as the strike duo combined to date, having failed to find the net in 33 appearances last season.

Philippe Coutinho (£10.7m) - 59 points

Three goals, two assists and two MOTM awards see Coutinho top the overall charts after seven games. Indeed, he is proving the full package for Liverpool this season, also racking up bonus points for passes, tackles and shots on target.

Raheem Sterling (£10m) - 58 points

The 21-year-old attracted his share of doubters as Manchester City's title tilt and England's Euro 2016 campaign both ended pitifully, but he has responded impressively, already scoring four goals this season, just two less than he managed in the entire previous campaign.

Diego Costa (£12.1m) - 51 points

Another man who has had his fair share of critics, Costa continues to be as effective at finding the net as he is at making foes, leading the goalscoring charts with six, despite Chelsea's struggle to assert themselves as title contenders under Antonio Conte.
