Premier League stars Petr Cech and Gareth Barry have both won places in the much-coveted Guinness World Records 2017.

First published in 1955, the iconic annual Guinness World Records books have sold over 136 million copies in over 20 languages and the Guinness World Records 2017 is out now, where both Cech and Barry feature.

Cech enters the record books for keeping the most clean sheets in Premier League history.

He achieved the record-breaking *174th clean sheet on 28 December 2015 when Arsenal beat Bournemouth 2-0, taking him clear of retired England goalkeeper David James.

Retirement is certainly not on the agenda for Barry, who recently broke the record for the most games started in the Premier League.

Since making his debut at 17-years-old at Aston Villa, Barry has started **580 games, breaking the record with his 572nd start v Sunderland on 11 May 2016.

In a cruel twist of fate for James, this record was also his. James finished his Premier League career with 571 starts.

Barry recently became only the third player to reach 600 appearances in the Premier League, joining Ryan Giggs and Frank Lampard at the top of the all-time appearances list.
