Anfield cat returns!

A familiar feline friend invaded the pitch at Anfield ahead of Liverpool's goalless draw with Manchester United on Monday Night Football.

It is not the first time a cat has been spotted at the 54,000-seater stadium. Back in 2012, a tabby was seen in front of The Kop during the Reds' 0-0 draw with Tottenham.

And two years later, Liverpool beat Swansea 4-1 with a different cat acting as a good-luck mascot on Merseyside.

Monday's black cat was less lucky for Jurgen Klopp's side, though, as goalkeeper David de Gea made two fine second-half saves from Emre Can and Philippe Coutinho to deny Liverpool the chance to move joint top of the Premier League.
