Aberdeen, Celtic to split tickets for League Cup final

The SPFL has announced tickets for the Scottish League Cup final between Celtic and Aberdeen will be split evenly.

Both clubs will reveal ticket sale information for the November 27 match at Hampden in due course.

Aberdeen beat Championship side Greenock Morton 2-0 on Saturday to ensure their return to the National Stadium next month.

The Dons have also won 2-1 at Ayr and beaten St Johnstone 1-0 in this season's competition.

A 5-0 Victory over Motherwell and a 2-0 win against Alloa took Celtic to the semi-finals, where they defeated Rangers 1-0 on Sunday to set up a clash with the Dons.

The last meeting between the teams was at Celtic Park in September when the hosts won 4-1 in the Premiership. The sides will meet again on Saturday at Pittodrie in a rehearsal for the final.

"The SPFL would like to congratulate both Aberdeen and Celtic for making it to the first showpiece final of the Scottish football season, with its return to a pre-Christmas date proving very popular with supporters," said SPFL chief executive Neil Doncaster.
