Plymouth Argyle left-back Ben Purrington has won the PFA Fans' League Two Player of the Month award for October.

Just under 3,000 votes were cast in the poll, which was held on the Sky Sports website and apps, with Purrington finishing way out in front with a whopping 1,488 votes.

Carlisle United star Jason Kennedy was second in the poll with 374 votes, ahead of Mansfield Town striker Matt Green in third with 334. Rounding off the top six were Doncaster Rovers forward Andy Williams (253), Luton Town midfielder Cameron McGeehan (136) and Cambridge United midfielder Luke Berry (87).

The six candidates were chosen by our expert panel, which included Sky Sports pundits Ian Holloway, Peter Beagrie and Paul Merson, as well as Mike Riley, general manager of the Professional Game Match Officials Board, and Malcolm Clarke, chairman of the Football Supporters' Federation.
