"Abraham has exploded onto the scene," according to Sky Sports EFL analyst Ian Holloway, who named him in his team of the season so far.  He's scored nine goals for City and has impressed with his maturity in leading the line. The England under-21 international looks to have the world at his feet.

Colkett is reportedly making serious strides on his first-ever taste of first-team football away from Stamford Bridge. The former youth team captain at Chelsea broke his way into the Rovers starting eleven in September after a string of impressive cameos from the bench. Since then he hasn't looked back. The 20-year-old has scored three goals as recently-promoted Rovers have shot up the table into the play-off picture.

Alex Kiwomya (on loan at Crewe)

The pacey striker has become an instant hit at the League Two club, scoring five goals in his 11 league appearances. He missed almost a month of action with a shoulder injury but showed no ill effects from his time on the sidelines when scoring the equaliser on his comeback against Notts County on October 15.

Tomas Kalas (on loan at Fulham)

The 23-year-old defender enjoyed a promotion from the Sky Bet Championship last season with Middlesbrough and he's putting that experience to good effect in west London. No Fulham player has made more clearances (63) than him this season and he got on the scoresheet in their impressive 5-0 thumping of Huddersfield in October.

The young forward seems to be enjoying his first taste of first-team football with David Wagner at Huddersfield. Palmer has started eight games, scoring twice, including during his debut, where he scored the winning goal in a 2-1 victory over Brentford. Quick, skilful and full of energy, Palmer is one to watch as the season progresses.

The cultured attacking midfielder has started Fulham's last seven games, where his influence has helped them score 15 goals. He bagged two of those himself but it's his passing attributes which has come to the fore. Only Tom Cairney has averaged more key passes per game for Fulham this season.

Christian Atsu (on loan at Newcastle)

The 24-year-old has struggled to nail down a regular first-time spot at the all-conquering Toon but he stepped in to replace the suspended Matt Ritchie against Cardiff City and impressed out wide, finding the net after three minutes. That was his second goal of his loan spell as he scored the winning goal in a 1-0 win over Rotherham in October.
