Joel Matip says Liverpool should be satisfied with draw at Southampton

Defender Joel Matip says Liverpool should not be downhearted after being held to a draw at Southampton, on Saturday.
The Reds dominated the game, enjoying 65 per cent possession and having 15 efforts on goal, but they could find no way past a stubborn Saints defence or goalkeeper Fraser Forster.
However, Matip says that a 0-0 draw at Southampton is nothing to be concerned about after they were joined at the top of the Premier League table following Manchester City's 2-1 win over Crystal Palace.
"It's a point away at a good team," Matip told the club's website. "We had a few chances but we can't always score three or four goals.
"It's okay; one point at Southampton, we can live with this! For a defender it's always good to have a clean sheet and not to concede a goal but we always want to win.
"They defend very well and it was a hard game to create chances.
"It's not easy if you always go [forwards] and you create chances but can't score. We keep on going and try again - and don't lose patience."
Fellow defender James Milner dismissed suggestions that Liverpool's players may have been tired after their international exertions.
"That's maybe something you worry about after the international breaks but it wasn't like we were off the pace," he said.
"We were on top for the majority of the game and we created the chances but that final finish wasn't there.
"It was a pretty good performance, I think, I can't remember them having too many chances.
"We dominated the game, really. They're a good side so to create the chances we did was the hard part, but we didn't take them and that's frustrating."
