UEFA have opened disciplinary proceedings against Celtic after there were crowd disturbances and fireworks set off by fans in their meeting with Manchester City.
Fighting broke out among supporters at the Etihad with less than 20 minutes remaining of the Champions League Group C tie, which eventually finished 1-1, in the lower tier of the home section closest to the away fans.
It is the 10th time in the past five years Celtic have incurred the wrath of European football's governing body in relation to their fans' behaviour. In August, hey were fined 10,000 euros after Palestinian flags were in evidence during the Champions League qualifier against Israeli side Hapoel Be'er Sheva.
The case will be dealt with by the UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body on February 23 next year.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) confirmed there were 14 arrests made throughout the day on Tuesday but said "for the large part both sets of fans were well behaved".
Elsewhere, the GMP also confirmed that the Celtic supporter who was arrested for throwing a hamburger at a police horse was released on Wednesday. The fan has been fined £90 for being drunk and disorderly.
The GMP's official Twitter account provided details of the bizarre incident before giving an update on the supporter - and the condition of the horse - the following morning.
A tweet on Tuesday night said: "Celtic fan arrested for throwing a hamburger at a police horse in Piccadilly Gardens. Male started kicking about in the van! #nightinacell."
On Wednesday morning another tweet said: "Man arrested drunk and disorderly throwing hamburger at police horse on Manchester City v Celtic got £90 fine. Horse remains in stable condition."
According to the Manchester Evening News, commuters on a tram were left terrified when Celtic supporters boarded a carriage before the game and set off pyrotechnics, leaving the tram to fill with smoke.
