Manchester United appeared to have a good penalty claim turned away and a goal disallowed before they found the winner to beat Crystal Palace 2-1.

Should Manchester United have had a penalty and were they wrongfully denied a goal in Wednesday's 2-1 victory at Crystal Palace?

Referee Craig Pawson endured a torrid time on his latest Selhurst Park appointment, with Wednesday's Premier League encounter littered with contentious decisions.

United took the lead through Paul Pogba in first-half stoppage time but were pegged back by James McArthur's well-taken response on 66 minutes.

United then had a legitimate penalty appeal rejected when Joe Ledley appeared to handle the ball, before Juan Mata saw a goal wrongly ruled out for offside.

In the end, however, the decisions proved irrelevant as Zlatan Ibrahimovic struck an 88th-minute winner to seal back-to-back victories for Jose Mourinho's men for the first time since August.
