Pep Guardiola and several Manchester City stars played Santa on a visit to a local hospital ahead of Sunday's game against Arsenal.

The City boss and players including Yaya Toure, Pablo Zabaleta and captain Vincent Kompany dished out Christmas presents on their annual trip to Royal Manchester Children's Hospital.

City players have pledged to fund the refurbishment of the hospital's Harrington Building, which houses its Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services.

And there was excitement for the young patients as Guardiola organised a table football tournament in the hospital's 'teen zone'.

He said: "The team has come together to see the life-changing work the hospital and its staff are doing every day right here in Manchester - it's a very special place.

"The kids were so happy and to see the smiles on their faces was fantastic. We are part of this city and if we can help them for a short time, then it's an honour.
