Claudio Ranieri expressed his frustration to the officials at half-time of Leicester's game with Stoke

Claudio Ranieri lost his cool with referee Craig Pawson at half-time of Leicester's clash with Stoke.

It was 45 minutes to forget for Leicester, who had earned just one Premier League point on the road this season before Saturday's trip to the Potteries.

Their away day woes continued as Jamie Vardy was handed a straight red card by referee Pawson after 28 minutes, five Leicester players were cautioned and Danny Simpson was penalised for handball in the box.

Joe Allen put Stoke 2-0 up in first-half stoppage time to compound Leicester's misery, and it all got too much for Ranieri who confronted Pawson as he made his way off the field after the break.

The Italian escaped any further sanction, as he appeared on the touchline for the second half, but it was certainly out of character for the normally cool and collected boss.
