Former Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard watched his old side train on Wednesday ahead of their Boxing Day meeting with Bournemouth.
Antonio Conte's side will be top at Christmas and have a six-point lead over second-placed Liverpool going into the festive fixtures, with the majority of the squad back in training following a short winter break after their win over Crystal Palace last weekend.
Lampard, the club's record goal scorer, spoke to 2012 Champions League winning team-mate David Luiz and Willian before watching the session at Stamford Bridge.
Earlier this week the 38-year-old told Sky Sports News HQ that he considers Chelsea to be strong favourites for the Premier League title.
Chelsea are looking for a club record 12th straight win in the Premier League when they host Bournemouth on Monday and have not been beaten on Boxing Day for 13 years.
However, they will be without Diego Costa and N'Golo Kante, who are both banned, while Oscar also did not train.
Lampard left Chelsea in August 2014 after 13 years with the club, during which time he won three Premier League titles, four FA Cups and the Champions League. He then spent a year at Manchester City ahead of a move to New York City FC.
He left the Major League Soccer side last month after they were eliminated from the Eastern Conference play-offs.
