Brighton boss Chris Hughton and goalkeeper David Stockdale are among the nominees for December's Championship awards.
Four wins and a draw from their five December games left Albion second at the turn of the year before victory at Fulham on Monday sent them top.
Stockdale saved a penalty in that game, but a nomination for Player of the Month comes on the back of his five previous performances.
The keeper's rivals for the prize are Barnsley's Sam Winnall and Dwight Gayle of Newcastle, both of whom scored six goals in December, and four-goal Wolves midfielder David Edwards.
Hughton is up for the Manager of the Month award alongside Garry Monk, whose Leeds side matched Brighton's 13-point haul from one game more.
Huddersfield went one point better for third nominee David Wagner, while Slavisa Jokanovic completes the list after a month which saw Fulham score 15 goals in five unbeaten games.
The winners will be announced at 6am on Friday morning.
