Rangers are in advanced talks to sign Jon Toral on loan from Arsenal, Sky sources understand.
The 21-year-old Spanish attacking midfielder is available after spending the first half of the current season on loan at La Liga club Granada.
He has previously spent time on loan at Brentford and Birmingham City, where he was nominated as the players' and supporters' player of the season for the 2015-16 season.
Toral moved from Barcelona's academy to Arsenal alongside Hector Bellerin in 2011 when he was aged 16.
He made six appearances for Granada this season, scoring once.
