Carlos Tevez has been given a hero's welcome upon landing in China ahead of his move to Shanghai Shenhua.
Police at Shanghai's main international airport escorted the smiling Tevez through a crowd of blue-clad Shenhua fans gathered in the arrival hall to greet him.
Chinese clubs have spent heavily over the past year to attract mainly South American stars. Earlier in this transfer window, Shenhua's city rival Shanghai SIPG signed Oscar from Chelsea for £52m.
Tevez and Oscar are the latest players to make record-breaking transfers to Chinese Super League (CSL) clubs, joining the likes of Hulk, Alex Witsel, Alex Teixeira, Ramires, and Jackson Martinez.
But the Chinese Football Association recently moved to limit CSL spending.
From the start of the new season in March, CSL clubs will be restricted to fielding three foreign players at one time.
Shenhua finished fourth in the league last season, 16 points behind the champions Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao.
