Jurgen Klopp says Nathaniel Clyne and Jordan Henderson are in contention to return for Liverpool against Swansea on Saturday.

Right-back Clyne has missed the Reds' last two matches against Manchester United and Plymouth because of a knock picked up in the EFL Cup semi-final first leg against Southampton.

Henderson suffered a heel injury in Liverpool's New Year's Eve win against Manchester City and while he returned to play the full 90 minutes against United, he sat out the FA Cup third-round replay victory at Plymouth.

Klopp said: "It's all in a good way. Clyne and Jordan Henderson were not in team training until now but should be back today.

"Clyne could (make it). He's had two running sessions, only to feel if he could cope with the pain. Yesterday he was very up, which was good.

"Hendo is good too. He felt a muscle a little bit more than he used to. But it's still about the original injury. That's more the problem still."

"He cannot get straight back on the pitch at 100 per cent. It's one of the good news we have in the last few days.

"Roberto has played a bit more on the wing because Sadio (Mane) is not here, but he is often enough in the right areas. If Roberto is in the best position, Coutinho gives him the ball, if not to someone else. You have to mix things up.

"Good understanding helps a lot but thank god they have a good understanding with all their team-mates not just other. But Roberto helps the team 100 per cent and he and Phil like each other."
