Larsson’s harsh red card?

Seb Larsson was sent off for a foul on Ander Herrera in Sunderland’s defeat by Man Utd, but was it harsh? The Super Sunday panel discuss…

The hosts were reduced to 10 men just two minutes before the break when Larsson's slightly high foot went through Herrera, and referee Craig Pawson did not hesitate in pulling out the red card when a yellow arguably seemed more appropriate.

Just before the sending off, Zlatan Ibrahimovic had put United 1-0 up, before goals from Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Marcus Rashford rounded off the 3-0 win after the break.

Jamie Redknapp said: "I think it's a yellow card, but I wasn't surprised he gave the red because he was so quick to go to his pocket.

"I think as he gets the ball he does extend his right foot. Is it worthy of a red? No."

Phil Neville added: "Look at the reaction of the Man Utd players. When there's a foul even nearly worthy of a yellow card, you surround the referee and put pressure on him.

"There was none of that from United, and hardly even from Herrera. It's a yellow."
