Jeff Stelling had an afternoon of mixed emotions during the final round of League Two games on Soccer Saturday

The final day of the League Two season proved to be a rollercoaster ride for Soccer Saturday presenter and Hartlepool fan Jeff Stelling.

Pools needed to win to have any chance of staying up, but survival looked an uphill task when they fell behind against Doncaster after half an hour.

However, substitute Devante Rodney sparked a dramatic turnaround as he scored twice in the second half to put Hartlepool ahead.

The second goal sparked wild celebrations in the Soccer Saturday studio with Stelling leaping from his seat in delight, no longer wearing a suit jacket and instead showing his Hartlepool top under a waistcoat.

But there was to be another twist in the tail as Mark O'Brien scored an 89th-minute winner for Newport against Notts County.

The goal dampened the mood in the studio as Newport moved out of the relegation zone and stayed in the division at Hartlepool's expense.
