Enner Valencia transfer bid rejected by West Ham

West Ham have turned down an offer for Enner Valencia from Mexican side Tigres, according to Sky sources.

Sky Sports News HQ understands the Hammers are keen to offload the forward this summer and remain hopeful a deal can be struck.

Valencia joined West Ham from Mexican side Pachuca for £12.5m in 2014 after impressing for Ecuador at the World Cup in Brazil.

West Ham face a tough opening to the 2017/18 Premier League season as they travel to Manchester United.

The 27-year-old struggled for consistency following his move to the Premier League and managed to score only 10 goals in 66 appearances for West Ham.

Valencia spent last season on loan at Everton after being told he was surplus to requirements at West Ham by manager Slaven Bilic.
