United are interested in signing Middlesbrough midfielder Marten de Roon, according to reports in the Daily Express.
The Dutchman, 26, has a contract at the Riverside until the summer of 2020.
The Express also says that United goalkeeper David de Gea has told agent Jorge Mendes to call Real Madrid over a move to the Santiago Bernabeu this summer.
The Spain international has been constantly linked with a return to his homeland and in particular Real, who are reportedly on the lookout for a replacement for current No 1 Keylor Navas next season.
Meanwhile, the same paper claims that Atletico Madrid and Spain U21 midfielder Saul Niguez has rubbished talk that he could join either United or Barcelona this summer.
The 22-year-old will compete for his country in the European Under-21 Championship final against Germany on Friday.
