All the latest Arsenal transfer news and rumours from across the British and European press on Thursday, June 29.

Manchester City are now the frontrunners to sign Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal as Bayern Munich back out over the rising fee, according to reports in the Mirror.

The future of the Chile forward is in doubt with the player having just one year left on his current contract with the north London club.

Meanwhile, Anthony Martial has dismissed claims he could leave United for Arsenal this summer, says the Daily Star.

The France forward struggled to nail down a regular starting spot in attack under new United manager Jose Mourinho last season.

Elsewhere, Arsenal have had a bid in excess of £30m turned down for Monaco winger Thomas Lemar and are now considering whether to formalise their interest in Leicester City's Riyad Mahrez, reports the Daily Telegraph.

Lemar helped the Ligue 1 club win the title last season for the first time in 17 years and was in France's starting XI for the 3-2 friendly victory against England two weeks ago.
