A missed penalty from Marco Tumminello saw Juventus beat fellow Serie A club Roma in the International Champions Cup in Massachusetts.
The Bianconeri converted all five of their penalties as the game finished 1-1 in normal time at the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough.
Successful spot-kicks from Stephan Lichtsteiner, Andrea Barzagli, Federico Bernardeschi, Sami Khedira and Douglas Costa ensured victory for the Serie A champions.
Mario Mandzukic opened the scoring for Juventus in the 29th minute after he rounded the goalkeeper and slotted the ball into the net from a tricky angle.
But former Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko found an equaliser in the 74th minute after linking up with a former City full-back, Aleksandar Kolarov, whose low cross found the Bosnia international unmarked in the box which he comfortably nodded in.
The friendly went straight to penalties following 90 minutes, with the 18-year-old Tumminello missing the Giallorossi's opening spot-kick which would see Juve on their way to victory.
Juventus continue their preparations for the new Serie A campaign against Tottenham at Wembley Stadium on August 5, while Roma face Sevilla on Wednesday evening.
