Brighton are in talks to sign goalkeeper Pau Lopez from Espanyol, according to Sky sources.
The 22-year-old Catalonia international spent last season on loan at Tottenham as third-choice 'keeper behind Hugo Lloris and Michel Vorm, but did not make a first-team appearance for Spurs.
Lopez joined Espanyol's youth set-up 10 years ago and made his professional debut in December 2014 in the Copa del Rey, going on to help steer Espanyol to the semi-finals of the competition for the first time in nine years.
His La Liga bow came in 2015 when former Espanyol goalkeeper Kiko Casilla was shown red in a defeat to Sevilla.
Casilla's departure to Real Madrid two years ago made way for Lopez to become first choice at Espanyol, where he made 38 league appearances.
Lopez becomes the second shot-stopper to join Brighton this summer after the Seagulls signed Australia international Mathew Ryan from Valencia in June.
