More than a million ticket applications have been submitted for next summer's World Cup in Russia following the first two weeks of sales.
FIFA officials have told Sky Sports News that football fans from England are in the top ten countries to have applied on its official website.
More than 20% of applications have come from countries outside Russia, with the highest number from Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, the United States, Germany, Colombia, China, Israel and England.
105,000 requests have been made for World Cup final tickets, to be staged at the newly-renovated Luzhniki Stadium.
Prices range from £79 for a second-round group match to £829 for the final in Moscow.
World football's governing body were reassured that there were no reported incidents of crowd trouble around this week's UEFA Champions League games involving Liverpool and Manchester United in the Russian capital.
But Liverpool have made a complaint to UEFA over alleged racist abuse aimed at teenager Bobby Adekanye during a UEFA Youth League game against Spartak Moscow on Tuesday.
Spartak have yet to respond to Sky Sports News for a response to the complaint.
The first stage of ticket sales will be held until 12 October and the World Cup draw will take place in Moscow on 1 December.
At the request of the Russian authorities, all fans attending matches at the World Cup must apply for a FAN ID - the official identity document issued to supporters.
