Alexandre Lacazette scored twice but Lars Stindl earned Germany a 2-2 draw in a heavyweight friendly battle against France in Cologne.
Lacazette twice put the visitors ahead, with Timo Werner netting the first equaliser for the Germans.
France looked set to hold on and make it three victories in a row against Germany, who they beat in the European Championship semi-finals last summer, only for Stindl to equalise with virtually the final kick of the game.
After holding Germany to a goalless draw on Friday, England did the same to a full-strength Brazil at Wembley.
There was concern over Sergio Aguero as Argentina lost 4-2 to Nigeria in Russia.
The Manchester City striker scored but was then substituted at half-time, with the Argentinian Football Federation later announcing he had been taken to hospital after fainting.
Ever Banega and Aguero had put Argentina two up but Kelechi Iheanacho pulled one back just before half-time and Nigeria turned the tables in the second half thanks to a double from Arsenal's Alex Iwobi and a debut goal for Brian Idowu.
World Cup hosts Russia secured a morale-boosting 3-3 draw with Spain, fighting back from two goals down. Jordi Alba opened the scoring in the ninth minute before Sergio Ramos netted the first of two penalties.
But Fyodor Smolov pulled one back just before half-time, with Aleksei Miranchuk equalising soon after. Ramos then scored from the spot again two minutes later but Smolov secured parity with a 70th-minute leveller.
Romelu Lukaku netted his 31st goal for his country in the 72nd minute to earn Belgium a 1-0 victory over Japan.
Holland were comfortable 3-0 winners over Romania, with all the goals coming in the second half.
Memphis Depay made the breakthrough two minutes after the break, and there were further strikes from Ryan Babel and Luuk de Jong.
Austria were impressive 2-1 victors against Uruguay, Louis Schaub scoring a late winner after Edinson Cavani had cancelled out Marcel Sabitzer's opener.
There was another late goal in Cardiff, where Panama came from behind to draw 1-1 against a young Wales team.
Weston McKennie scored on his debut as the USA and Portugal drew 1-1. The teenage Schalke midfielder netted in the 21st minute but Vitorino Antunes equalised for the hosts 10 minutes later.
Iceland, who will make their World Cup debut next summer, were held to a 1-1 draw by Qatar while Russia-bound Costa Rica lost 1-0 to Hungary.
In other results, Colombia eased to a 4-0 win over China, South Korea and Serbia drew 1-1 and Slovakia defeated Norway 1-0.
