Leicester have signed Callum Wright from Blackburn for an undisclosed fee.

The 17-year-old winger has agreed a professional deal until 2021 at the Foxes, having scored four goals in 10 games for Rovers' U23s this season.

Wright was previously on the books at Tranmere and Everton and signed a two-year scholarship at Ewood Park in 2016.

Rovers' academy manager Stuart Jones told the club's website: "Ultimately, we did everything we could to try and keep Callum, but the situation was taken out of our hands when Premier League clubs became interested.

"He's a young player and when Premier League clubs came calling, both he and his family were keen to move on."
