Jordan Clark scored twice as Accrington continued their surge up the League Two table to close the gap on leaders Luton with a 2-0 victory over Coventry at the Ricoh Arena.
The midfielder netted the opener in the fifth minute before adding a second on the hour mark to secure in-form Stanley's seventh win in eight games.
John Coleman's side jumped two places up to second, leaving them six points behind Luton, who were held to a 1-1 draw by Stevenage at the Lamex Stadium.
Wycombe dropped to third following a 1-1 draw with fellow promotion contenders Exeter at St James Park. Notts County missed the chance to move into the top three after Alex Nicholls' late winner gave bottom-placed Barnet a 1-0 home triumph.
Matty Taylor's first-half goal was enough for Swindon to secure a 1-0 victory over fellow promotion chasers Mansfield at the County Ground. Crawley recorded a fourth consecutive win courtesy of a 3-0 success at home to struggling Grimsby.
Mo Eisa scored a hat-trick as Cheltenham hammered Port Vale 5-1 at Whaddon Road. Crewe moved three points above the relegation zone following a goalless draw against Yeovil at Gresty Road.
Colchester missed the chance to gain ground on the top seven after Jamie Devitt cancelled out Courtney Senior's opener to secure a 1-1 draw for Carlisle at Brunton Park.
Morecambe's relegation battle with Chesterfield and Forest Green's trip to Newport were both postponed due to waterlogged pitches. Cambridge and Lincoln drew 0-0 on Friday night.
