Los Angeles FC conceded three times and had a man sent off in the dying minutes to crash to a 5-0 defeat at Atlanta United.

LAFC, who threw away a 3-0 lead to lose 4-3 to the LA Galaxy in their last match, might have been a man up themselves only a minute in when Chris McCann was shown a red card for a foul on Benny Feilhaber, but this was reduced to yellow following a video review.

Instead, Julian Gressel put Atlanta ahead after 17 minutes, with Josef Martinez making it two in the 67th minute.

That was how it remained until the 88th minute when Miguel Almiron netted from the penalty spot.

He did so again two minutes later, with Joao Moutinho sent off for conceding the second spot-kick, before substitute Romario Williams added a fifth.

Nemanja Nikolic's 27th-minute goal earned Chicago Fire a 1-0 win at home to the Columbus Crew, their first victory of the MLS season.
