Graham Potter has an agreement in place with Swansea City to become their new manager and will be confirmed in the next 24 hours, Sky Sports News understands.

The Ostersunds boss has been in talks with the club about replacing Carlos Carvalhal, who left following their relegation from the Premier League.

Former Hamilton manager Billy Reid, who has worked with Potter at Ostersunds, is expected to become his assistant along with performance analyst Kyle Macaulay.

Speaking about the move last week, Potter said: "I have to talk to them [Swansea] a little more.

"Obviously it's a big challenge to take the club back to the Premier League and give them an identity, so it's clear that it's interesting, but there's still a long way to go."

The 42-year-old has been of interest to a number of English clubs due to his success with the Swedish club over the last seven years.
