Bolton are in talks to sign attacking midfielder Erhun Oztumer on a free transfer, according to Sky sources.
Oztumer is currently a free agent after turning down a number of offers to stay at Walsall.
The 26-year-old spent two years at the Banks's Stadium and scored 32 goals in 95 appearances.
Bolton boss Phil Parkinson is keen to bolster his attacking options after maintaining the club's Sky Bet Championship status on the final day of last season.
Sky sources understand Preston and Sunderland have also shown an interest in Oztumer.
Oztumer began his career at Charlton, but was released at the age of 16 and spent three years playing in Turkey, featuring for Sivasspor and Anadolu Bagcilar.
He returned to England in 2012, joining non-league Dulwich Hamlet, where he went on to score 60 goals in 96 appearances before being picked up by Peterborough and then Walsall.
