He may be gearing up to lead England to the World Cup in Russia next week, but Tottenham striker Harry Kane has already outlined his ambitions for next season.
The 24-year-old has just concluded his fourth full season in north London - a season in which he scored his 100th Premier League goal - but despite acquiring an abundance of personal accolades along the way, he is yet to pick up any domestic silverware.
Mauricio Pochettino's men have secured three successive top-flight finishes and reached the FA Cup semi-finals for the past two seasons, falling just short on each occasion and failing to triumph for the first time since the 2007/08 League Cup win.
Kane was still part of the Lilywhites' youth setup at that point in his career and, speaking to Sky Sports Premier League pundit Thierry Henry, Kane revealed that he is ready for the barren streak to end.
"The main thing [for next season] is a trophy," he said. "It's been about four years now that I've been playing at this level and we're yet to win a trophy.
"I wake up every morning and that's what I want to achieve. For me personally, though, I just want to improve. Every year I want to get better, to score more goals and to get more assists."
Selected as England captain for this month's World Cup by manager Gareth Southgate, the frontman has top scored for Spurs for four seasons running and, despite failing to help his club side add to their trophy cabinet, Kane says he has learned to deal with the mounting pressure.
He continued: "I think there's definitely pressure but I think that just comes with it. That's natural, that's part of the job, that's part of the game.
"I've worked very hard to get where I am now and I want to take every opportunity I have so every time I put on the shirt, I want to prove to everyone that I'm one of the best and I try and do that day in, day out.
He added: "I'm not one that sets goal targets, I take it month-by-month and if I'm there then I set another target, but I take it as it comes and the main thing for me is to get some silverware."
