Argentine midfielder looking to test himself at a higher level

Argentina international Lucas Biglia believes the time has come for him to try his luck in a top division. The highly-rated midfielder is currently on the books of Belgian outfit Anderlecht. He has been able to earn international recognition this year, forming part of his country's squad at the 2011 Copa America. Biglia is, however, of the opinion that he could handle life at a higher domestic level and hopes he will get his wish this summer. There has been plenty of speculation linking him with a move to England - with Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham all reported to be keen - and the 25-year-old admits he would be open to such a move.

Opens doors

"I think I have ended my cycle at Anderlecht and I want to do something new," Biglia told Het Nieuwsblad. "The board know what I want to do. "I know that playing for the Argentina national side means I get plenty of exposure and opens lots of doors. "Sometimes I feel I have to do more because I am playing in Belgium. I am aware that it would be easier if I was playing in a different league."
