Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets has extended his contract with the Catalan giants until 2019, the club confirmed on Thursday.
The 26-year-old has made over 300 appearances for Barca and won 16 trophies since breaking into the first team under the orders of Pep Guardiola during the club's famous treble winning season in 2008/09.
Busquets started Barca's Champions League last 16 first leg clash with Manchester City and prior to the game admitted he would like to play in the Premier League one day - however any hopes England's biggest clubs had of signing the midfielder will have to be shelved.
A statement on the Barcelona website read: "FC Barcelona have reached an agreement with Sergio Busquets for the renewal of his contract until June 30, 2019 with the option for another year."
He has 74 caps for Spain having made his debut in 2009, and was part of the World Cup winning side of 2010.
