Karim Benzema’s future has been the topic of much speculation in recent weeks but he put it all to one side in Real Madrid’s International Champions Cup match against Manchester City.
The France international showed his full worth to the Spanish club, firing Rafael Benitez’s side into the lead at the Melbourne Cricket Ground with a stunning acrobatic finish.
Benzema, who has been linked with a move to Arsenal, drifted on to the penalty spot before connecting with Gareth Bale’s cross on the volley to beat the despairing dive of Joe Hart.
