Morgan Schneiderlin dismissed fears over Anthony Martial's price tag after his man of the match display against Southampton.

Martial arrived for £36m on transfer deadline day but has already notched up three Premier League goals in two appearances, includign a brace in Sunday's 3-2 win over Southampton at St Mary's.

Schneiderlin has performed the role of Martial's translator since he came in to Old Trafford, and he believes his French compatriot is capable of handling the pressure that comes with playing for United because of his desire to succeed.

He told Super Sunday: "He's like you see him in a game, very calm, very relaxed, his head is on his shoulders.

"He's an amazing talent, many people would have been confused by the price tag but he came to the Premier League on his toes.

"He just wants to do the best, he's a very intelligent guy, very calm, has shown great composure, great skill and great power. He will be a great player for the future of Manchester United."
