"It's not going to get any more dramatic than a 94th-minute winner on the last day of the Premier League's 20th season, is it?" said Tyler a few years later. Probably not...
Chelsea won the 2009/10 title in the most emphatic of fashions as they thrashed Wigan 8-0 on the final day at Stamford Bridge.
Carlo Ancelotti's side needed victory to ensure they finished top and they didn't look back after Nicolas Anelka's sixth-minute opener.
Anelka would score again, Drogba would score a 17-minute hat-trick and Salomon Kalou, Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole would also find the net as Chelsea secured the biggest win in their history.
They also smashed the record for the most league goals in a Premier League season with 103.
An absorbing title race came down to the final day in 1998/99 as Manchester United and Arsenal battled it out, with United facing Tottenham at Old Trafford and Arsenal taking on Aston Villa at Highbury.
United needed to win to ensure they finished top but fell behind to a Les Ferdinand goal after 24 minutes at Old Trafford.
However, goals either side of half-time from David Beckham and Andrew Cole saw United turn the game around and win the title at their own ground.
United would go on to secure the treble by winning the FA Cup and Champions League.
The final 42-game Premier League season went down to the wire.
Blackburn Rovers were two points clear of Manchester United in 1994/95 but faced a tricky trip to Anfield on the last day. United, meanwhile, went to West Ham.
Things looked to be going in Blackburn's favour when West Ham took the lead against United. However, Brian McClair levelled and then goals from John Barnes and Jamie Redknapp put Liverpool 2-1 ahead against Blackburn.
Kenny Dalglish's side could not get back into the game and it took a string of fine saves from West Ham goalkeeper Ludek Miklosko to prevent Manchester United getting the goal they needed to snatch the title.
"I don't know how he saved some of the things he saved that day," said West Ham scorer Michael Hughes later. "It wasn't meant to be for United that season - it was as simple as that."
Blackburn celebrated at Anfield as they won the league for the first time since 1914 and their first major trophy in 67 years.
