Crystal Palace coach Keith Millen says Wilfried Zaha has responded well to criticism from manager Alan Pardew.
The winger was substituted at half-time during Palace's defeat at Tottenham, and Pardew later questioned his desire to do the necessary defensive work.
Zaha played the full game on Wednesday as Charlton were beaten 4-1 at Selhurst Park in the Capital One Cup, and his performance pleased the Palace management team.
Pardew's assistant Millen said: "We were pleased with Wilf. He was a threat all night, he caused them problems, he created chances for us and worked hard out of possession.
"He's responded in the right manner. But it wasn't just about Wilf, it was a performance we wanted from the whole team."
Palace's next game is away at Watford on Super Sunday.
