Graeme Souness and Thierry Henry assess Theo Walcott's impressive performance in Arsenal's 3-0 win over Manchester United

Graeme Souness believes Theo Walcott's performance for Arsenal against Manchester United on Super Sunday was his best in a Gunners shirt.

The Arsenal forward had a key role in two of the three goals, setting up Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez after the Chilean had given the Gunners the lead on six minutes.

Souness hailed a "fabulous" performance from Arsene Wenger's side, and picked out Walcott in particular.

"That's the best I've seen Theo Walcott play," Souness told Sky Sports. "His runs off the ball...[meant] he was a threat throughout.

"This team, and we've been saying it for years, are a near miss.

"Maybe after this result that belief will spread through the dressing room."

And Thierry Henry agreed with the analysis, suggesting that the England international now "has to start" for the Gunners if he continues in such good form.
