Swansea unlucky to lose to Manchester United, says Alan Curtis

Alan Curtis felt Swansea were unfortunate to leave Old Trafford empty-handed after a 2-1 defeat to Manchester United.
Swansea went close to an equaliser with the last action of the game when goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski headed narrowly wide from a corner.
"It was very close, it looked a few inches away," Swans caretaker boss Curtis told Sky Sports. "It wasn't to be but second half we pushed United back, created some chances and were probably a bit unlucky not to get anything.
"They're a good team, we knew we would have to play exceptionally well to get something and, while we didn't do that, I thought with the amount of the game we had and the chances we created we might have got something."
Swansea struggled to create chances in the first half but improved later in the game as Andre Ayew hit the post and Ashley Williams forced David de Gea into a save.
"We took a while to get our feet in the first half but we got better without really getting a foothold in the game," said Curtis. "It all changed when United scored. It forced us into changes which probably improved us a bit, certainly going forward we were much better."
Curtis has been in charge of Swansea for almost a month after the sacking of Garry Monk on December 9.
He is the favourite with Sky Bet to be the next permanent boss but said: "There probably is a need to bring somebody in, but while the players perform as they did it buys us some time and the most important thing is to get the right man."
