Heung-Min Son can solve Spurs' striking problem, says Mauricio Pochettino

Mauricio Pochettino hopes Son Heung-Min can hit top form to prevent Tottenham signing another striker this month.
The South Korea forward grabbed his third goal in 21 appearances in Spurs' 2-0 victory over Leicester in the FA Cup on Tuesday following his £22m move from Bayer Leverkusen last summer.
Spurs boss Pochettino has been in the market for a striker since failing with a move for West Brom's Saido Berahino in the previous transfer window and is looking for Son to put a marker down for a regular starting place up front.
"It was important for him to score against Leicester," said the Argentine. "We want him to fight for a place in the starting XI.
"I don't know why we would have maybe more opportunity to win the league if we added another striker as I think we have enough quality here already."
And Pochettino has again made it clear he will only get involved in the remaining days of the transfer window if a player guaranteed to improve his squad becomes available.
"If we started the season happy with the squad we have, why now do we have to add new players?" he said.
"If we find the right profile and we are sure it would help us improve the squad, we'd sign someone, but we are very happy with the squad we have."
Tottenham face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park this weekend and Pochettino is well aware of the threat the south Londoners pose despite failing to win any of their last five Premier League matches.
"It's a very good challenge for us to try to win at Crystal Palace," he said. "It would be a very good position for us if we win the game.
"The players and the squad are very focused, to be ready, to prepare and to compete but we are expecting a very tough game because it is not an easy place to go."
