Leicester City have been the strongest performers in the Premier League in 2016, having earned 24 points since the start of January.
A table which shows the points accumulated by all Premier League sides since the start of the year reveals Claudio Ranieri's side are in the best form. Tottenham have earned 23 points, which places them second.
Chelsea, who were 14th in the league by the end of last year, rank third in the form table.
The 20 points Guus Hiddink's side have picked up means they are now 10th in the league, and have not lost a league game in the last three-and-a-half months.
Bournemouth are 13th in the Premier League but have been the sixth best performing side in 2016, meaning a difference of seven positions.
Despite being top of the league by the end of 2015, Arsenal have been in less than impressive form since, picking up just 13 points in their last 10 matches.
Meanwhile 20th-placed Aston Villa have more points than three teams in the league this year, tying with Watford on eight points and ahead of Newcastle, Norwich and Crystal Palace.
In contrast to their league position of 14th, Crystal Palace have been the worst performing team since January 1, with their two points coming in draws against Swansea and Sunderland.
