The 22-year-old, who has scored 25 goals already this campaign, has been linked with a move to Manchester United, a club Mourinho has also been tipped to join in the summer.

The Portuguese manager sold Lukaku to Everton for £28m in 2014 after a season on loan at Goodison Park from Chelsea and criticised his attitude, but the striker says that would have no bearing on a future move.

Romelu Lukaku's father has urged his son to leave Everton for either Man Utd or Bayern Munich

"Some people will say that I need to convince him but it's not a question of that," Lukaku told La Derniere Heure. "Three years ago I was 20 and I wasn't ready to be immediately effective in a top team.

"Several good seasons, including the current one, have changed the situation. I'll be 23 (in May) and I could leave this summer."
