Stoke's Charlie Adam nearly repeats half-way line goal

Charlie Adam is fond of a long-distance strike and he nearly embarrassed West Ham goalkeeper Darren Randolph during Stoke's 2-1 win over the Hammers on Sunday.
The Potters midfielder collected the ball inside his own half with the score 1-1, and almost picked out the top corner of Randolph's net.
The West Ham 'keeper scrambled back and managed to tip the ball over the crossbar at the second attempt, preventing a repeat of the famous David Beckham goal against Wimbledon.
You actually don't need to go back to Beckham for a comparison, because Adam has done this kind of thing before in his Potters career.
He stunned Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois with a 64-yard goal at Stamford Bridge in April last season, cancelling out Eden Hazard's penalty.
Unfortunately for Adam and Stoke on that occasion, Loic Remy struck midway through the second half to condemn the Potters to defeat.
West Ham were not so lucky on Sunday though, as Mame Biram Diouf came off the bench to score the winner for Mark Hughes' side, ensuring a ninth-place finish for the third consecutive season.
