Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe urges patient approach

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has urged his young players to be patient as they look to secure first team football.
The Cherries signed six players on permanent deals over the summer but only one of them - 29-year-old defender Marc Wilson - is over the age of 22.
Howe believes he can help turn them into better players but only if they are prepared to work hard and look to the long-term to further their careers.
"I think they will have to show a degree of patience," he said.
"Everyone wants to play, that's the first thing I'd say to that. All players in my squad want to start but not everyone can start, I can only pick 11.
"They need to take the longer-term view, develop, learn how we play and let us coach them and make them better players.
"If they can show that maturity then their careers are going to really blossom because they're all outstanding players.
"I think sometimes players know themselves that they're not quite ready and they need a little bit of work.
"Sometimes you have to sit them down and have a different conversation and tell them a little bit more firmly that they have work to do.
"But in some senses you don't want to take that desire to play away from them. It's that fire and that determination to succeed that's going to make them the players they're going to be.
"It's a delicate balance but, so far, the players have all shown a terrific attitude."
