Olivier Giroud modestly admitted that his wonder goal in Arsenal's 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace was lucky.
The Frenchman scored a scorpion-like goal in the first half at the Emirates, flicking the ball into the top corner with his backheel after Alexis Sanchez's cross was directed slightly behind him.
But Giroud, who has scored two goals in two games, said he had "maximum luck" in being able to direct the ball goalwards.
Giroud told Sky Sports: "[Sanchez] gave me the ball a bit behind me, I tried to take it from behind me and I had maximum luck.
"It's just about luck, you know, I was not on good balance, but it was a great feeling. I wanted to score from the first minute, and thank God I succeeded with a nice one for the team.
Asked if he had tried that before, Giroud said: "No, not at all. I try to deflect it in this position, you have to do something else.
"I was lucky and it's nice for me, nice for the team, and I think it's my best one."
Alex Iwobi added a second for Arsenal after the break, moving them up to third in the Premier League at the halfway stage.
